Summer Horse Camp 2008

AmberWay Stables Summer Day Camp offers riders the opportunity to get a hands on learning approach to horses and horsemanship. From the beginning of camp's start, campers will learn how to handle themselves around horses and how to keep themselves and their horses safe. Topics covered will include safety, proper grooming, how to bath a horse, saddling, bridling, cleaning & care of tack, feeding, stall cleaning, and horse health care and first aid. Campers will also have the opportunity to watch a Farrier shoe a horse in the barn (and take home a real horse shoe!) and meet a local Veterinarian.

In addition to horse care and riding, the rest of the day will be spent playing games & other fun activities! This includes: horse games, horse movies, water games, crafts, and much, much more!!

On Friday, the last day of the camp week we will have a pizza party for lunch and campers will receive awards based on their personal achievement.
 

             Day Camp starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
